Trekking part
The trekking part is in the Chiangdao area, with overnight at the rustic Padeng Lodge. Hiking time may vary according to the participants abilities and weather. We only hike on the day 1 and day 2. The following day is sightseeing only, going by road to the famous golden Triangle.
Accommodation in Chiang Rai
We usually include rooms at the Wiang Inn Hotel, which is a comfortable hotel, located just behind the Chiang Rai night market, and a main road with various restaurants. In case of non-availability, we reserve the right to use a similar category hotel. We will notify you with our confirmation.
If you have a special hotel to be requested, let us know, we can “customize” this trip.
Hall of Opium Museum
“The Hall of Opium is a modern and very interesting museum, part of the Mae Fah Luang foundation. The “Hall of Opium” can be visited at the Golden Triangle during this trip, but we recommend setting aside 1 1/2 hours for a complete visit.
Unless you skip some other visits, there is usually not enough time on this program to visit the museum.
Talk with your tour guide about it and see the timing. Museum entrance fees not included.
Family travel
This trip is suitable for family. Kids will enjoy the stay at the rustic lodge.
