A night in a hill-tribe village
During this Doi Inthanon Trekking trip, the night is spent at a local villager’s house in a Karen hill-tribe village. There is no hot shower, and toilet facilities are outside in the yard. Very basic sleeping conditions, but a great experience. We will provide quality sleeping bags or warm blankets during the cold season, and a mosquito net all year.
Participants should bring warm clothing for the night, as temperatures can drop down. Fairly wide temperature change can occurs between day and night, so the nights are very chilly. During the cold season, temperatures of around 5°C (40° F) or even below, can be observed at night in the mountain. The coolest season is during months of December through February.

Best time to visit
Doi Inthanon trip is pleasant to visit throughout the year, as it’s mild climate makes it cool even during the hot season. We like the winter as it is cool and fresh, and the raining season is just stunning.
Some of the trails are closed by the rangers during the raining season, but our trek program remain unchanged.
