The night in the hill-tribe village
During this Doi Inthanon Trekking trip, the night is spent at a local villager’s house in a Karen hill-tribe village. There is no hot shower, and toilet facilities are outside in the yard. Very basic sleeping conditions, but a great experience. We will provide quality sleeping bags or warm blankets during the cold season, and of course a mosquito net all year. Participants should bring warm clothing for the night, as temperatures can drop down. Fairly wide temperature changes between day and night, so nights are very chilly. Often, temperatures of 5oC or less (40o F or less) at night in the mountains can be observed. The coolest season is during months of January and February.
