CHIANGDAO TREK – 2 DAYS

Additional trip information:

Luggage
This trek is based at the Padeng Lodge, with vehicle access. Participants can take main luggage for this tour, however we recommend to leave the main luggage in Chiangmai at our office. The less luggage you have to carry around, the more you will enjoy your trip.

What to bring
We do recommend to take a small backpack as a day-pack which you can carry during the hike. It can contain items you might need during the day (camera, water bottle, sun cream). A second bag will be the main luggage, which can be kept in the vehicle until the evening, containing your overnight gear. Here is a suggestion of what to take:

  • 2 T-shirts (cotton), one short or long pants
  • 2 pairs of socks. Sandals for the evening
  • Towel (or sarong), toilet and personal effects
  • Personal prescription drugs, contact lenses, glasses
  • Sun-cream (waterproof), hat, sunglasses. Mosquito repellent
  • 1 light rain jacket or windbreaker
  • A small flashlight is always useful, and take your camera for great photo opportunities

Cold season
During the cold season (mostly months of December and January) bring a fleece and long pants, as temperatures can drop down at night. It can reach a 5 degree Celsius (40 degrees Fahrenheit) in the early morning hours.

Family travel
This program is suitable for families with smaller children as hiking parts are not difficult and can be tailor made to suit your family. Family discount is available for private trips only.
