Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can we take our kids on this trip? They are 10 and 12 years old, and they are used to hiking.

A: Yes, if you are sure they are fit and can walk for 6 hours. The second day is usually a long day even for experienced hikers. We expect to walk over 6 hours with some steep hills. No vehicle support!

Q: Can I participate to this trip, I can’t walk very well due to knee problem?

A: Probably better book another tour! Maybe look at our 2 days Chiangdao trek, which is much easier and flexible. Also has a support vehicle in the area.

Q: Should I take my leather trekking boots. I hike frequently in the alps?

A: No need of leather trekking boots. Unless you are coming during the raining season, in which case boots are most likely to be waterproof and have good gripping sole. But other than that, the trails are usually dirt only, sometime some gravel, but there is no rocks. A regular pair of runners or ankle high light trekking boots will be fine. Shoes should have a good sole.

Q: Are the meals included? and is bedding included? Just need to know if we need to bring sleeping bags to Thailand with us ?

A: Meals included are stated in the itinerary. Bedding, two nights in village hut or simple home stay: yes, we provide sleeping bags and blankets depending of the season, as appropriate. You do not need to bring your sleeping bag.
