With various rivers flowing from the foothills of the Himalayas along with rugged wilderness, Northern Thailand is considered one of the greatest places in the world for white-water rafting.

White Water Rafting in Northern Thailand

Rafting expeditions in Northern Thailand are simply great – lush tropical jungle, wild rivers, bamboo campsites, wild animals, Thai smiles and gourmet food. All factors you need for the trip of a lifetime!

On every river expedition, safety and fun are top priority. We use strong hypalon self-bailing rafts and provide adequate safety equipment including life jackets and helmets. Our raft instructors are experienced local captains trained to BCU standard with good knowledge of the river area in which they were born.

Pai River

Offering as many as 60 rapids, the Pai river originates in the mountains of the Daen Lao Range passing through the green and peaceful village of Pai before stretching across kilometers of rocky landscape and non-accessible jungle forest and then eventually crossing the Thai-Myanmar border. This versatile river has rapids ranging from class I to class V and will exceed expectations of beginners and outdoor enthusiasts alike!

Maetang River

Separating the Thanon Thong Chai Range, Mae Tang river flows through Chiang Dao and Mae Tang districts into the Ping River. This is a popular river just 1 hours drive from Chiang Mai and offers a variety of rapids ranging from class II to class V. We also have our very own Maetang River Camp located nestled on the bank of the river; great for overnight stays.

Our river rafting trips are operated from mid-June to end of January!
