Tour Program
At 08h30, your ActiveThailand tour guide will meet you at your hotel, to begin our exploration of Chiang Mai with a walking tour of the old downtown quarter. Visit the most famous temples where you can make merit at the local temples: Wat Phra Singh and Wat Chedi Luang.
Continue to Chiang Mai’s Chinese district of “Warorot Market” a place to see the bustling side of this quiet city, and where you can find almost everything, from clothing to food ingredients! Explore the maze of indoor and outdoor stalls and enjoy the chaos and color this fabulous market can offer.
Lunch is taken at a local restaurant on the Ping River bank, for a glimpse of the river and the surrounding mountains.
Afternoon, you will check out some of the handicrafts in Sankampeng district, where local craftsmen are working on silk, umbrella painting, wood carving and more. Or for those who prefer, we can continue to explore some of Chiangmai most interesting Temples. Transport back to your hotel at 16.30.
