Here is a selection of popular day trips organized out of Chiangmai city. All our sightseeing day trips are conducted with private air-conditioned car or van, with driver and guide. Some tours are conducted by one driver/guide depending on availability. Some tours are offered on joint basis, but most are on private party basis (private tour for your party).

Tours are usually confirmed with two participants and as per availability can be conducted for one participant alone if required. Upon receipt of your detailed request (please fill out the booking form including all details) our reservation agent will send you a reply with pricing offer. In case the trip is available as a joint tour we will mention it to you. The booking is only a request. The trip is booked and confirmed to you after communication with our reservation agent. Our agents are here to recommend the best suitable option, but the final decision is yours.

Popular Half-day Tours CXS01 Book Elephants at Work (morning only 08.00 -12.00) Including elephant show at popular Maetaman elephant camp. CXS02 Book Home Industries Visit local handicraft manufacturers on the famous Sankampeng and Borsang umbrella villages. Woodcarving, silk, umbrella painting and more are on this half-day trip. CXS03 Book City and Temples A brief Chiangmai introduction with the city's best known Temples, including the Wat Pra Sing, Wat Chiang Man and Wat Suandok. (Doi-Suthep mountain top Temple not included). CXS04 Book Doi Suthep and City Temples Visit Doi Suthep Temple and discover two other Temples: Wat Prasing, Wat Chiang Man and Wat Suandok. CXS05 Book Doi Suthep Temple Visit Doi Suthep Temple located on the mountain overlooking the city. For people short in time. Can be combined with our Home Industries tour for a full day program. CXS06 Book Mae Ping River Cruise For just a few hours, take a motor boat cruise on the Mae Ping River. See some village life and impressive riverside estates. Stop at the local plantation and learn about many traditional medicinal plants from the Thai gardens. The cruise can be taken any time of the day prior to advance reservation. Full-day Tours (including lunch) CXS21 Book Doi Inthanon National Park Full-day excursion to Thailand's highest mountain, located 100km from Chiangmai and part of a National Park. Gorgeous nature, birds, waterfalls and some hill-tribe villages are on the program. Including lunch and National Park entrance fees. CXS22 Book Chiang Rai and Golden Triangle This is an exhausting day trip that we recommend more to be done over a two days program. But we offer it as it is popular. Over 650 km of Northern Thailand scenery mostly digested sitting in the van. Chiang-Rai overlook, Thai and hill-tribe villages, mighty Mekong river and a classic picture overlooking the Golden Triangle are part of this program. CXS23 Book Elephant Safari (Chiangdao camp) Includes: Elephant show at the beautiful Chiangdao Elephant Camp and training center. Watch the show with elephant. Experience an elephant's back ride (1h) in surrounding jungle. Float down a peaceful river on bamboo raft. Stop to an "orchid plantation" upon return to Chiangmai. CXS24 Book Elephant Safari (Chiangdao camp) Includes: Elephant show and lunch. We visit also an orchid plantation and some rural villages, rice fields and farming scenes. Elephant riding and bamboo rafting are optional, and can be paid locally if you decide to do. More flexibility and more time for rural scenery.

Note: Half-day trips above can be conducted either morning [08:00-12:00] or afternoon [13:00-17:00], except Elephant at work [CXS01] which only runs in the morning.
