CONTACT TRAVEL CO., LTD is a registered Company in Chiang Mai, Thailand, here-under referred to as “the Company”. The Company act as intermediary between hotels, airlines and transport companies providing services. Therefore the company is not responsible in case of loss, injury, damage that could happen to the client, including those occurring outside the tours or programs. Any loss or additional expenses incurred due to delays, accidents, natural disasters, political actions or government restrictions, must be borne by the clients. The handling of baggage is at the client’s risk throughout the tour. Our programs, itineraries, services and prices, are established and based on a certain date, and therefore subject to change without notice, before or during the tour. We reserve the rights to provide similar or superior hotels in case of non-availability. Contact Travel Co. Ltd reserves the right to change the content of any information available on its Website at any time without notice.
Before you go
Clients are responsible for obtaining relevant visas and documents to enter the country legally. It is the client’s own responsibility to meet our staff/guide or his representative, at the time and date agreed and mentioned in our final tour confirmation.
Due to the nature of most of our adventure tours, participants must be aware of the hazards which may be associated with the activities. Therefore we strongly recommend that you carry your own insurance. Participants are responsible for loss or damage of provided equipment. Participants agree to accept the authority of the guide/tour leader throughout the tour.
Deposit / Payment
First step, following receipt of your booking request, we state the tour availability. Participation in a tour will be confirmed to participants after reception of booking deposit only. No deposit means no firm booking. Deposit must be received by the Company at least 15 days before the tour or services begin. Deposit is non-refundable, as it will cover our booking fees and expenses. Payment instructions and details will be sent with our tour registration.
For all services where clients are not coming to Chiang Mai, as well as for all hotel reservations and train tickets, we require advance full payment. Payment can be made via paypal or online by credit card. You don’t need to have a paypal account if you make a credit card payment via the paypal system, which is the system we have implemented on our site. See the page “contact us” for paypal payment link.
In case of cancellation by the client(s), the Company will retain or invoice the full deposit amount of required services. Clients who cancel within 24 hours of trip departure are not entitled to any refund regardless of whether they made a partial deposit or full payment. On the Company’s side, once we have received a deposit, there is little reason that we should cancel a tour, however the Company reserves the right to cancel any trip at any time. In such case all payments/deposit already made will constitute full settlement with the participants.
Booking deposits are not refundable for any services. All tour arrangement services must be cancelled with advance notice of minimum 7 working days in order to be entitled to a refund, deducting our deposit fees.
For some services such as hotel or train tickets which have to be paid at reservation, there will be no refund, unless the provider is entitling us to a refund then it will be passed on to our clients, (after deduction of our deposit fees). Specific refund policy will be stated in your tour confirmation.
The Company shall not be held responsible for costs/missed opportunities due to changes or cancellations of the program as a result of Force Majuere. Force Majuere is defined as an event beyond the control of the Operator, including but not limited to war or hostilities, riot or civil commotion, epidemic, earthquake, flood or other natural disasters.
Cancellation of services during the program
In case you decide to stop a tour for any reason during the tour or before the end of the pre-arranged program, no refund will be made for unused portions of the services or tour arrangements.
Participation in our programs implies the client’s agreement to the above conditions and the paid deposit stands for proof of acceptance of our general conditions.
